Do you have an agent?

Yes and no. As far as approaching publishers goes, I don't have an agent that works on representing me. I write my own synopsis', cover letters and do all my own editing to present a professional manuscript. However, my Pop acts as a publicity agent for me, so I am a little better off than if I was completely by myself. He does the work concerning book stores, appearances, press releases and radio interviews.

Do you reply to your fans?

Yes, always. It is unacceptable to neglect fans when they are the entire reason why I have a chance at making a career out of being an author. It's also great for intel on ways of improving my writing based on fan interactions.

Where can I purchase your books?

All of my published works are currently available on the iBookstore, Smashwords, Sony Reader, Kobo, Kindle, Nook, Stanza, Aldiko and so many others!

When and why did you start writing?

Due to emotional reasons, I found that writing in my earlier high school years presented a reprieve from the stress and self-confidence issues presented for all young girls. I technically started in primary school, drawing a picture book labelled 'Macy the Mouse' and further going on to write a short series called 'The Dark Dancers'. These, of course, weren't that great. I only started taking it seriously in 2008 while I was in year seven and battling body image issues and the daily torment of mild depression. My weight was becoming an issue and I found myself awkward in social situations. Turning to novels for hours on end, I discovered that it was what I loved doing and wanted to continue it as a career later on.

What is your advice to young or unpublished authors?

If you get bad feedback from anyone and they tell you to just give up, don't take it to heart nor listen. They're simply jealous that you have the courage, self-determination and patience in order to churn up a novel, poem or short story. WRITE, WRITE AND WRITE SOME MORE! As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. If writing is your dream, then make it happen! It may take a lengthy process but if you stick with it, you will succeed.

FAQ

Can I donate to you?

YES! You most certainly can! Just track down any of the Donate buttons littered around my website! They're pre-filled out with a donation of $2 AUD - enough to help me out with author costs but not enough to put a hole in your pocket! Every cent counts and for anyone who does donate, that's a huge thank you from me!

What's after the Poseidon's Girls trilogy?

My first duology of course! The Poseidon's Girls was based on Greek Mythology and how people would react if it was present in modern, young adult society. So now that that's wrapping up on the 22nd of December, I am planning to complete my writing certificates and start working on a sci-fi dystopian duo called the Clarity duology.

Where can we find the most up-to-date information about you?

My most up-to-date information is available in three ways: my twitter @MissaBooks, my Facebook page linked and my blog here. As far as long-lasting information, my website is full of it but those links are for my newest information. I rarely go on my website so those are the places you will have the best methods of keeping up with me! In addition,  I am starting to do vlogs concerning books, reading and writing commencing in 2015.

Is there anything you do aside from writing books we can follow?

I'm currently working on creating some items, including but not limited to bookmarks, dreamcatchers, etc, that I am planning on selling in an Etsy store sometime in the future. In addition, I draw tattoo commission works and anything else in future will be acknowledged on my blog.
